Affiliate Programme Terms

1. Programme Overview

The TicketWave Affiliate Programme allows approved participants (“Affiliates”) to earn commissions by promoting events and driving ticket sales through unique referral links. The programme operates on two tiers:

  • Referrer Tier: Open to anyone who shares their referral link. Suitable for casual promoters, friends of venue owners, and social media users who want to earn by sharing events.
  • Professional Tier: Designed for PR agencies, influencers, and professional promoters who drive significant ticket volume. Professional affiliates may negotiate custom commission rates directly with venue owners.

2. Commission Structure

  • Commission rates are set by individual venue owners for each event. Venue owners configure the percentage or fixed amount per ticket that affiliates earn.
  • Where a venue owner has not set a custom commission rate, no affiliate commission is available for that event.
  • Commissions are calculated on the net ticket price (excluding any platform fees and taxes).
  • Commissions are only earned on completed, non-refunded ticket purchases.
  • If a ticket is refunded, the associated affiliate commission is reversed.

3. Tracking and Attribution

  • Affiliate referrals are tracked through unique referral links and cookies set on the ticket purchaser's device.
  • The attribution window is 30 days from the time a potential purchaser clicks an affiliate link. If the purchaser completes a ticket purchase within 30 days, the commission is attributed to the affiliate.
  • If a purchaser clicks multiple affiliate links, the last click before purchase receives the commission attribution.
  • TicketWave's tracking system is the sole and definitive source of truth for commission calculations.

4. Prohibited Practices

Affiliates must not engage in any of the following practices:

  • Self-Referral: Purchasing tickets through your own affiliate link, or arranging for others to purchase through your link on your behalf, is strictly prohibited.
  • Spam: Sending unsolicited emails, messages, or communications to promote affiliate links.
  • Misleading Claims: Making false or misleading statements about events, ticket availability, pricing, or the TicketWave platform.
  • Paid Advertising Without Disclosure: Running paid advertisements (Google Ads, social media ads, etc.) that promote affiliate links without clearly disclosing the affiliate relationship as required by applicable advertising standards and regulations.
  • Cookie Stuffing: Using hidden iframes, forced clicks, or any other technique to set affiliate cookies without genuine user intent.
  • Brand Bidding: Bidding on TicketWave's brand name or variations thereof in paid search campaigns.

5. Payment Terms

  • The minimum payout threshold is €20. Commissions below this threshold will accumulate until the minimum is reached.
  • Payouts are processed manually and may take up to 14 business days from the time a payout is requested.
  • Affiliates must provide valid payment details (bank account or PayPal) to receive payouts.
  • Affiliates are solely responsible for any tax obligations arising from their commission earnings.
  • TicketWave reserves the right to withhold payouts if there is a suspected policy violation pending investigation.

6. Termination

  • TicketWave may terminate an affiliate's participation in the programme immediately and without notice if the affiliate violates any of the prohibited practices listed above or any other provision of these terms.
  • Upon termination for policy violation, any unpaid commissions may be forfeited.
  • Affiliates may voluntarily withdraw from the programme at any time. Earned and verified commissions above the minimum threshold will still be paid out.
  • TicketWave reserves the right to discontinue the affiliate programme entirely with 30 days' notice. All earned commissions will be paid out before discontinuation.

7. Intellectual Property

  • Affiliates may use the TicketWave name and logo for the purpose of promoting events through the affiliate programme.
  • Affiliates must not modify, distort, or alter the TicketWave branding in any way.
  • Affiliates must not create websites, social media accounts, or other properties that could be confused with official TicketWave channels.
  • All rights to the TicketWave brand, logo, and platform remain the exclusive property of TicketWave.

8. Limitation of Liability

TicketWave shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from or related to the affiliate programme, including but not limited to loss of anticipated commissions or profits. TicketWave's total liability to any affiliate shall not exceed the total commissions actually paid to that affiliate in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Modifications to Terms

TicketWave reserves the right to modify these Affiliate Programme Terms at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes via email or through the Platform. Continued participation in the programme after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you may withdraw from the programme as described in the Termination section.
